Stock + Pro App Reviews

This is a great tool for Mac to get valuable info and charts and for watchlists. I use it everyday!

I have been using the Chimp Studios stock app for some time now. I have tried others but love this the best. If I have had questions to ask Chimp studios, I quickly receive a response. I use this app daily. Chimp Studios does a great job supporting this app and it just keeps getting better.

The ticker keeps jumping to my other screen by itself. Here’s my setup: I run dual screens and DO NOT have each display as a separate space. The displays move together when switching spaces. I have the menu bar on my right monitor and I like to keep my ticker at the top of the left monitor. Since El Capitan, my ticker will jump from the top of my left screen down to the bottom of my right (main) screen when opening certain apps. Like for example, if I have the ticker on my left most screen, minimize the App Store and then expand it again, the ticker jumps to the bottom of my right screen. If you set up your rig like mine you should be able to duplicate the scenario. Keep up the great work though! Love the app

I am user of Stock + Pro have been a while and it is quite amazing!! I also should say that even support is quite fast to solve problems when i had with blank screen inside app. So far i am so glad that now has chart and i am sure that will have much more update on it for near future!! So, would like to make one suggestion for next version: - Enable UNDO / RENDO in Charts (when you put a line/mark, to delete you need to use Eraser always) I Also noted that still has some bugs: In graphics, sometimes if you overlay more than 2 or 3 layers sometimes chart became blank and you need to remove one of them, and then add againt o make it visible, but i am sure they will solve that really soon! Still worth 5 stars!

This is a fantastic stock tracking app and the best that I’ve found on the Mac App Store. It’s geared towards power-user investors who are serious about montioring their investments. The features and the responsiveness of the developer makes it well worth the price. Highly recommended!!

Unfortantely this app has gone to crap, a lot of bugs that have been pointed out but the developer which seems like a 1 man band keeps pushing out new features. I don’t care how many new things an app can do if it doesn’t do them correctly and crashes half the time. They can’t even get the Volume-Color bars correct beyond 1 day. Turning into a cluster .. you know the rest. Beware.

The heatmap fills the same area as before, with the large margins, and then jumps to fill in the entire area — this is disconcerting, and sloppy. Why don’t you developers have higher standards? For $30 I expect more. I think I’ll get a refund. This “Pro” version doesn’t even have line by line transactions, so it’s tedious to manage and doesn’t provide accurate analysis. This is a junk app. I have no confidence that the devs know what they’re doing. This app needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. It’s buggy, the ticker jumps to the bottom of the screen. It’s outdated, old-school-looking. I wish I could say something good about it. The StockTwits integration is nice. Note: This is one of those developers who tries to hide the flaws and bad reviews by releasing a 0.0.x “bug fixes” release every time it receives a negative review. This is a sloppy app—the fact that it doesn’t have more advanced features by version 3.4.x is completely unacceptable, I suspect the developer doesn’t know how to implement these essential, basic features. Until they learn how, $30 is a total rip off. Warning: Click “all reviews” and read all the complaints — this is NOT a 4-start app!

WHEN I FIRST BOUGHT THE APP IT WAS RATHER SO-SO HOWEVER I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE IMPROVED OVER TIME. THE MANAGEMENT HAS DONE A NICE JOB IN INCEASING THE UTILITY AND DEPTH OF THE PROGRAM WHILE AT THE SAME TIME KEEPING IT SIMPLE TO USE. NOW I FIND REAL VALUE IN HAVING THIS PROGRAM. I WAS A PORTFOLIO MANAGER FOR 40+ YEARS AND THIS PROGRAM MEETS MY REQUIREMENTS VERY WELL. I CAN BRING TOGETHER 4 SEPARATE EQUITY ACCOUNTS AND MONITOR RACH PORTFOLIO AND SEE A SUMARY THAT PROVIDES ME WITH GOOD DAY TO DAY MOINITORING. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE CAPABILITY ADDED TO SHOW PERFORMANCE USING INDUSTRY STANDARDS. THE APP MAY NOT HAVE EVERY POSSIBLE BELL AND WHISTLE BUT IT NOW MEETS MY NEEDS VERY WELL. I LOOK FORWARD TO FUTURE UNGRADES. SO FAR SO GOOD.
